Places of Happiness

The Places of Happiness - Keele Project, funded by the National Lottery Environment Fund and the TopCashback Community Fund.

Aims for the project:

To enable and encourage the community to connect with nature whilst improving two wellbeing community hubs located on the campus here at Keele: the Woodmeadow Walk and the Sustainability Garden

We're aiming for these spaces to become more inclusive, accessible and biodiverse so anyone can connect with nature.

To help people from the community build their confidence and to help them learn environmental skills which could help them to create personal places of happiness at home or in other shared spaces. By increasing biodiversity awareness in this way, we could indirectly make wider contributions to biodiversity.

We also want to leave a lasting legacy and create positive change that contributes to the wellbeing of people and place and lasts well beyond the projects funded period.
