Job purpose
To support the Chief Executive and Managing Director by owning the financial functions of Mondrem. And to guide decision-making by giving advice informed by producing financial statements and reports. To understand in detail and improve the financial functions and tools that we use in Mondrem.

Mondrem needs this same level of support and confidence from our accountant/bookkeeper that we give our customers to guide us when we make decisions on sales, growth, recruitment and investments.
Main tasks and responsibilities
These are the main tasks and responsibilities – but we will be keen for these to change over time to match your personal growth in the role, your ambition and ours. We are looking for someone who will work closely with the Managing Director to:
Building trusting relationships with colleagues and suppliers
Assist in the production of monthly accounts and reports
Assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts
Reconcile the balance sheet and P&L accounts
Prepare and submit VAT returns and other reports
Prepare and post journals for payroll, prepayments, accruals, fixed assets etc
Reconcile the bank
Own the accounts payable functions with expenses and credit cards
About you
Key skills and competencies
AAT Qualified or “Qualified by experience”
Competent with MS Excel
Good knowledge of Xero
Good understanding of P&L and balance sheet reporting
If you have these too, it's a bonus
‘Previous experience in a similar role
Experience with or knowledge of Brightpay
Experience with or knowledge of Fluidly
Experience of working with or in public services
Your style
Ambitious and eager to progress
Highly organised
Good verbal and written communication skills
A self-starter
